Northshore’s Big 10
Tired of virtual races? Then, join us for the first Northshore’s Big-10. This is a 10-mile run starting in Evanston and heading up just past Gillson Park, Wilmette and returning to Evanston along the lakefront.
This is a timed event. The course is NOT closed to traffic. The course avoids many of the major intersections by staying mainly on the lakefront. Runners must obey traffic laws and pay attention to cars during the run. The race will have a rolling start, with the course opening for runners at 6am. Runners can start the race anytime they would like but must cross the finish line before 10:30am if they want an official time.
In keeping with current health guidelines, there will not be a mass start for this event. Each runners chip will start timing when they cross the starting line. Do you like sleeping in and starting a little later- this is your race! Do you like getting up, out, and done early- This is also your race! Pick your own start time (just be finished by 10:30am)! Also in an effort to follow current health guidelines, we ask that runners do not congregate at the start or finish lines.
